This year in my Facebook group Emotional Storytelling we have been working to inspire and create new images based on weekly themes. Self portraits are something I am personally terrible at creating the time to work on, so last week I presented a self portrait challenge to our group and it has been the most rewarding and creatively inspired week for so many of us.

More and more I find myself so overwhelmed with the beauty our members create that I have to publish multiple blogs just to fit them all in. Our self portrait week was definitely one of those occasions. I absolutely loved the opportunity to put a face and a feeling to all of these beautiful artists.

Frida Kahlo once said “I am my own muse. I am the subject I know best. The subject I want to know better." This was our inspiration for the week and it was an incredibly powerful one. Today's features are part 2 of our self portrait series and you can see the first set here.

We would love to have you follow along and join the conversation in our Facebook group Emotional Storytelling with Twyla Jones
