Hogan Family | Florida Beach Sunset | Mentoring Session
When Rebecca of Rebecca Burt Photography reached out to me to book a mentor session I knew it needed to be a good one! My 6 year old son had been talking about his girlfriend Aubrey for quite some time, so I decided to reach out to her mother Hannah to see if they were interested in modeling for us. Hannah brought the crew over a few days beforehand so I could rummage through my closets and dress them. I couldn't be happier with how well the clothing came together (huge thanks to James Vincent Design Co. for Quinton's amazing striped romper!)
I spent the first part of this day photographing Rebecca and her family on the beach in harsh light (blog soon!) Putting yourself in front of the camera is such an amazing way to learn how to better talk your clients through a session and gain a better understanding of how emotive prompts and different posing guidance work. After we wrapped her session, I let Rebecca change out of her soaking wet dress and we photographed the beautiful Hogan family together until the sun went down. Afterward all three of our families enjoyed a huge sushi feast to end the night. Enjoy these images and look for a link to Rebecca's blog from this same session at the end to see what an incredible job she did!
